Vivian Lutheran

After establishing home churches in the late 1800s, Norwegian Lutheran was organized in 1906. In 1910, the first church building was built west of Vivian. In 1928, the congregation added the English language to their primarily Norwegian worship services to accommodate the “younger generation,” and the church was moved to town southeast of its current location. The present church building was completed in 1951. Even though it has undergone plenty of physical changes, it remains a loving, welcoming community church for those with generational connections to the congregation and newcomers to the area.
